This makes yet another historic moment in E-Sports as this would be the first time a major Korean and Foreign team have merged together as one. This shows that Starcraft 2 is growing... on a global level and that is amazing. This might possibly start something where more Korean-Pro teams will merge or perhaps forge a relationship like oGs and Team Liquid have? That would be awesome. To the original FXO team members, this would be a great benefit now they will have a huge talen pool enter into their practice grounds and hence can cause them improve vastly. I am not saying they are not good players but their recent GSTL showings have not been the best and I am probably not the only one to admit to that.

Now FXO has been a team that seems to have a lot of money per-say. Judging from their practice house and facilities in Malaysiaand their cars they have. Acquiring a team like fOu is pretty huge, and one of my hater thoughts when I first read the news was... oh wow, they are like the New York Yankees of baseball. The thought ran through my mind thinking... so when they do not do well in the GSTL and can’t seem to win a game to save their lives, they go out and purchase talent and convert them to FXO, taking their fOu tag away. Why couldn’t FXO simply forge an agreement to become FXO.fOu instead like how oGs.TL works? This way, the fOu players can still have in their minds the roots of where they came from, that is from their clan: fOu. Now they are under FXO and their past seems to get removed right away as if fOu never really existed, it wasn’t as if fOu could not support themselves. I wonder what their fans think of this, it kind of feels like losing your hometown team all of a sudden doesn't it?

Hello to our many foreign fans
Our team main sponsor FXO has now concluded and from today we will be returning to FOU
Thank you for all the
— 이형섭 (@MVPChoya) November 1, 2013

But at the end of the day, FXOpen is a business, and the man himself is a very successful businessman, it felt a little bit in my mind, that the decision was made as a business one. Also taking into account that the fOu players would have loved to get a salary and more opportunities given to them.

StarCraft 2 game group FXOpen has signed a sponsorship agreement with streaming company Twitch TV

StarCraft 2 game group FXOpen has signed a sponsorship agreement with streaming company Twitch TV. Beyond Leenock, FXO doesn't have a lot of trophies – certainly nothing to match a team like IM. But they do have two GSTL championships, obtained back-to-back (FXO also happens to be the only team with back-to-back championships) through strong performances during the regular season and with the GSTL final-version of Gumiho to close things out. Among the eSF teams, FXO has the definition of a strong core – a team not dependent on one single player, but instead relying on a solid handful of players that each can cause serious damage to any team. This is their greatest advantage, and very rarely has it been a disadvantage due to their core players always being able to step up when it has been needed, becoming super-aces for the duration of a single match.

Whereas IM is the team that should have won a lot more team leagues, FXO is the team that won without a star-studded line-up, and did it twice. In some ways, FXO is IM's polar opposite – the team is smaller, doesn't have as many individual championships, and at first glance the team's line-up would be considered a huge underdog against a team like IM.¨But toward the end of WoL, FXO's roster regularly crushed the opposition in GSTL. FXO's main strength is that unlike many other teams in GSTL, they do not rely on a single superace-level player to carry them match after match. FXO has at least three players capable of filling the ace role, with Leenock representing Protoss, Terran and Zerg respectively. Not only is it near-impossible to prepare single match-up snipers for all three of FXO's key players, but the preparation is even more difficult given Leenock's and Tear's aptitude for wonky strategies. While FXO's supporting cast isn't as strong as the core trio, Lucky, TheBest, and JKS are all solid players capable of holding their own.

TheBest and Lucky have both come through for FXO on many occasions in GSTL – although they don't always perform alongside the best players in the league, they more often than not come out and take down at least one player with them, which is all they need to do to set-up to core trio to clean things up. Honorable mention also goes to the out-of-retirement sC who has come back to Starcraft II. He might not be ready in time to play against IM, but he is almost guaranteed to make at least one appearance this season. Finally, there is JKS - the player who actually performed the best out of all FXO's players in the pre-season, winning games against Maru, Byun and SuperNoVa. We don't know very much about JKS, but beating Maru (who is currently sitting high up on the ladder) and Supernova (who has also looked very good in HotS) bodes well for him against a team that's likely to send out at least one Terran.

The FXO trio of aces was perhaps the most dangerous three-man squad in WoL GSTL. Tear, whose greatest GSL achievement is reaching the Ro48 in Code A, has an uncanny knack for performing far above expectations in GSTL, and has performed countless multi-kills against high-caliber teams. Leenock, likewise, time and again brought clutch ace match performances to the table whenever necessary. And then of course, Gumiho is 8-0 in GSTL finals, winning the championship almost single-handedly for FXO not once, but twice. To illustrate:

Naturally, this is a new game and the majority of FXO remains largely unproven against top tier opposition in HotS. Leenock showed some interesting use of swarm hosts at MLG, but fell unceremoniously to Innovation by a score of 0 - 3 after showing weakness in his previous best match-up ZvT.
But with Gumiho (whose aggression will now be much stronger with the addition of the turbovac) and Tear who will doubtlessly bring a slew of new, innovative strategies, Leenock still having yet to find his footing might actually be alright for FXO. Make no mistake, Leenock stepping it up and showing renewed confidence will be very important for FXO, but with how well Terran and Protoss have performed so far in HotS compared to Zergs-not-named-Life, things are looking grim but not impossible for the two-time champions.

FXO's best shot at winning here is hoping for Lucky to take down Ruin in the opening match and then rely on Gumiho's relentless aggression to take down two or three players if or when Lucky falls. According to various interviews (and the statement he made by playing well), Ruin is one of IM's better players currently and will be no walkover for Lucky. Once again, it'll come down to adaption - how good is Lucky at HotS? He's been a solid player for FXO in team leagues for a long time, but has never really had the multi-kill potential of Gumiho, Tear or Leenock. With Ruin, it's still difficult to say where exactly he is at. Strong performances in the pre-season in combination with praise from his team mates should mark him as the favorite, but we haven't seen him play against Zerg yet. Still, with how shaky most Zergs looked at IEM and MLG, it's not hard to give the edge to Ruin barring clever all-ins devised by Lucky and friends. Additionally, we will see the debut of the new GSTL map Red City. We've seen players take advantage of new, infrequently played maps by bringing some very map specific strategies to the table, and it will be interesting to see if either player wants to go that route. With a new map and a new expansion, this match could be very unpredictable.

There are two interesting stories to look out for tonight as the two teams battle it out in the new Gangnam studio: first, it's the matter of how well the key players on each team have adapted. We saw a glimpse of LG-IM's power in HotS, but how has the rest of the team fared? Second is the theme that starts off the season: the should-have-been-championship team Incredible Miracle vs. the actual champions FXO. Few people believed FXO to be the championship-caliber team they've shown themselves to be twice, whereas everyone has always considered IM the favorite. Will history repeat itself, or will IM finally take down their polar opposite to start off the season?

The International Gaming League is excited to present our first StarCraft II event

The International Gaming League ( IGL ) is excited to present our first StarCraft II event. Some of you may know that the IGL is my new organization and that I have been a long time supporter of StarCraft II and advocate for trying new things and finding new ways to sustain growth in eSports. Unlike my previous organization, IGL is very much focused on creating a structure and platform to build eSports using a 'bottom-up' approach. Currently, www.playIGL.com is now in Open Beta, but our Leagues, Ladders and Bracket systems are functional. Over the next 4 weeks, IGL will be supporting several game title communities through Show Matches and Launch Cups. Several of our ladders will open up and our full League Seasons will be announced shortly after.

The Show Match:
The Clarity Gaming and FXO.NA Teams have been very supportive and IGL and myself would like to personally thank both teams for their support and participation in this show match. This show match will use a different 'team' format then any other format offered. I understand that it may seem confusing at first and I am sure all of my documents, examples and outlines I have given each of the team Captains is making it appear more complicated then it needs to be.

Yes, this is a new format that will be tested and I am sure tweaked. To see examples of the new format and to better understand my thinking behind it, please click on the spoiler. This format was devised to encourage more use of each team's roster. A 'Team' effort must be structured for 'Team' events to be about the team and not a single player who can 'All Kill' the entire opposing roster. I wanted to still have the drama of a player that can make a 'run' on a team and win several matches in a row, but I also wanted to avoid teams being able to win a match using only 1 player. The first round of this format is the most unique. The first round consists of 2 matches (each a bo1). If the matches are split, with each team having a player win their match, those players will then meet in round 2. From that point, the format is similar to an 'All kill' format, but with limitations on the number of rounds a player may participate in and with Round 4 being the only 'best of 3' series of the match.

A traditional 'create your own match' option as well as a 'Time Pool' option that allows teams/players to join a queue of teams, in which the IGL system then chooses your opponent and creates the match. Several of the game titles that we will be working with, will have automatic match information and reporting directly integrated into the system.
The best aspect of our Ladder system is that our ladders are 'Tiered'. This means no more searching through a list of 200 teams to find your team and activity levels on the ladder at less then 10%. Although you will be on a single ladder (ie SC2 ingame Ladder), you will be 'Tiered' into seperate standings tables of 30 or less teams/players. Every 7 to 14 days, the ladders will be re-Tiered and pruned (inactive teams removed). This will create specific identifies for each Tier and create more activity.
3 - Leagues - The big deal! The IGL leagues will be 'Divisional' and each Division will have it's own Logo Crest, Name and skill level requirements. The IGL League system is structurded to facilitate real growth in SC2 and eSports in general. Each division will have a playoff at the end of each regular season and 'Promotion and Relegation' matches (Up/Down) to determine the following season's divisional make up. Most game communities will start with an Open and Main Division and as more teams/players are added to the pool the Select and ultimately the Premier Divisions will open up.

FXOpen starts a Korean Dota 2 team! The thing is there is a lot of pressure from a lot of parties expecting you to win; the general public expects you to win. That added a lot of pressure from the time I started drifting till about 2010. And my performance in 2010 wasn’t great, so we went back to the drawing board, see what the issues were and how to improve myself. Everyone expects me to do well, if not win, from my previous credentials, but I’m coming to this season very fresh and with a new approach – which consists of a lot of mental things like the mental preparation before an event, to make sure I’m calm, relaxed and focus in what I want to achieve.

It has been 7 years since your first big win in 2005, how has the Malaysian drift scene changed since then?
The drifting scene in South East Asia is growing very huge. Thailand is very big now; Indonesia is growing in the last 2 years and has developed in leaps and bounds. Malaysia is kind of stagnated at this point, but then again there are parties who are trying to revive the sport. Getting new blood in is very important, at this point in time, since the first day it’s been more or less the same faces, year in year out. So the key is to develop this sport and get new faces in.

How does the Malaysian motorsport scene stand when compared to its regional counterparts?
I think we have been overtaken by Thailand, with all their local championships going on. The level of drifting there and the support they receive is crazy. Every competition we go to there has no less that 40 cars, it’s very intense and their drivers are really good. Indonesia has also grown and the level has gone up; the drivers now are a force to be reckoned with. I would say that everyone in the region is now quite on par with each other, it really depends on the track layout now. Everyone also stands a good chance to win now.

Source: https://vernonchan.com/interview-tengku-djan-ley-spearheading-malaysias-challenge-at-archilles-formula-drift-malaysia-2012/

Results BURN FXOpen Drifting Challenge Belarus 2010

FXOpen, one of the leading brokerage companies in the industry FOREX, the sponsor and organizer of the grandest events of drifting in Eastern Europe "Burn FXOpen Drifting Challenge Belarus 2010" which took place this autumn, 18-19 September.

Drifting

Eugene

FXOpen, one of the leading brokerage companies in the industry FOREX, the sponsor and organizer of the grandest events of drifting in Eastern Europe "Burn FXOpen Drifting Challenge Belarus 2010" which took place this autumn, 18-19 September.
